ConocoPhillips and Dow Chemical through its joint venture Freeport LNG, proposes to build a pre-treatment facility in a residential district destroying the quality of life for its residents and endangering its residents and the nearby wild life preserve. If this is allow to happen in our neighborhood, then your neighborhood is not safe from the economic and political power of multinational corporations. Of all of the LNG facilities around the world, none are closer than 7KM from a residential area except in Quintana, TX. Now they want to add Oyster Creek, TX and the communities along CR792 to the list. What does this say about our city, state, and national politicians?
